Angelina Mercado Zaragoza passed away peacefully at home on August 13th, 2025, surrounded by her family. Angelina was born to Jesus Reyes and Concepcion Pahua on April 3rd, 1935, in Michoacan, Mexico.

Angelina moved to Orland with her family in 1983. Angelina and her husband Joaquin raised 12 beautiful children together. Angelina showed her love through food and always wanted her loved ones to leave a visit with full hearts and full bellies. She loved taking care of everyone and loved making people laugh. Any time someone was in need, Angelina was there to help.

Angelina is preceded in death by her parents Jesus and Concepcion, her husband Joaquin, her sons Jose Maria and Jose Joaquin, and her daughters Elva, Maria Magdalena, and Guadalupe.

Angelina is survived by her sons Francisco Javier and Aldo Ivan, daughters Maria Teresa, Maria Concepcion, Maria Carmen, Angelina, Veronica, and Irma Luz, 48 grandchildren, 90 great-grandchildren, and 15 great-great-grandchildren.

A rosary for Angelina will be held on Tuesday, August 19th, 2025, from 6-7pm at St. Dominic Catholic Church in Orland, California, with mass being held at St. Dominic Catholic Church the following day, Wednesday, August 20th, 2025, at 10am.

Arrangements are held under the direction of Sweet-Olsen Family Mortuary.
