Obituary

Dale passed over night May 11, 2023 at home, after some time with an ongoing lung condition. He is survived by his wife of Marian of 42 years, sons Ben, Andrew, and James, one daughter Audrea, and five grandchildren. He is also survived by three sisters, Jean, Charlie, and Dovie, and one brother Randy. He was preceded in death by his sister Becky.

He was a graduate of Durham High class of 1960. He later served in the US Air Force as an Aircraft Mech, with deployment to Viet Nam in 1966 and honorable discharge as Sergeant in April 1968.  Following this time, of his professional career was as a maintenance electrician for industrial machinery.

He was a founding member of the country band Stillwater Savage who performed throughout the northern Sacramento Valley. He played bass as well as a nightly memorable set of oldies on guitar.  In his retirement years, he was well known for his knowledge and passion for the nitty
gritty details of the Telecaster guitar. Dale enjoyed working on Chevys from the 1970's and had restored many during his life.  Dale was also an
enthusiastic genealogist and worked diligently on his family history.

Graveside services were Wednesday, May 17, at the Orland IOOF Cemetery.
