Barton Brewer Harwell, age 81, of Orland, CA passed away on May 30, 2025.Bart was born on July 29, 1943, in Orland, CA to Claude Harwell and Clara Schaffer.

Bart spent his whole life in Orland and attended all the local schools.  In 1963 when Bart was around 20 years old, he enlisted into the Army and specialized in the Tank Division.  By 1969 Bart was honorably discharged from the Army. For 30 years Bart worked for John Mansville as a mechanic for insulation.

Bart enjoyed hunting and fishing. He even took a trip to Mongolia to hunt sheep; he was chosen by National Geographic to attend this special trip.

In 1978 Bart married Dawnmarie and they remained happily married until her passing in 2021. Bart spent a wonderful 55 years married to his love.

Bart is preceded in death by his father Claude Harwell, his mother Clara Harwell, and his wife Dawnmarie Coy Harwell.

He is survived by his sister Sandra McGranahan, his special niece Dona Starr, cousin Beverly Pratico, cousin Larry Brubeck, and cousin David Beesley.

A graveside service will take place on Tuesday, June 24, 2025, at 10:00 AM out at Graves Cemetery Orland, CA.
