BEATRICE SCHROER Lifetime Orland resident, Beatrice (Bea) Schroer passed away in Orland on Tuesday, November 9th, 2021, exactly 6 years to the day that the love of her life, Bill, passed away. Bea was born on a farm in Butte County on November 8th, 1924 to John and Rose Ceccon. She moved with her family, as a small child to the Plaza district in Orland, graduating from Plaza School and later, Orland High School with the class of 1942. She married William (Bill) Schroer on November 19th, 1944. Bill and Bea together operated a small dairy in the Plaza district for over 30 years, while also raising 6 children. After retirement Bill and Bea enjoyed attending their grandchildren's sporting events, traveling throughout the United States and abroad, ballroom dancing and square dancing. Bea is survived by her children, sons; William Jr. (Barbara), Donald (Linda), Michael (Juanita) and Dennis (Becky); daughters Susan Carmona (Larry) and Sandra Donnelley (Kevin); 16 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great- grandchild. A daughter, Nancy, preceded her in death in 1947. A Rosary is scheduled for recitation at 7 p.m. on Monday, December 13th at St. Dominic's Catholic Church in Orland. A mass is planned for celebration at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 14, also at the church, followed by interment at the Catholic cemetery near Orland.
