Betty Jean Katen passed away on April 13th, 2022 after suffering from Alzheimers/Dementia.  She is survived by her beloved husband of 69 years Clarence Katen.  She is also survived by her daughters Karen Gilchrist (Danny), Toni Morrison (Larry), granddaughters , Andrea Terrell (David),
Jennifer Campbell (Devin), Jamie Bloom (Nick), Jenae Mertens (Jarrod) and her grandson Todd Gilchrist (Amy).  Betty was blessed with 13 great-grandchildren.

Betty is preceded in death by her late son, Butch Katen.

Betty was born on December 21, 1935 in Santa Rosa, CA and she was raised in Petaluma.  Her and Clarence raised their three children in Petaluma, and operated the Redwood Drive-In Dairy. In 1976 she and Clarence moved to Orland, CA where they owned and operated Linda Vaca Dairy.

She will be most remembered for being the life of the party.  Dancing, singing, and having a great time with family and friends was her favorite past time.  She loved baking, hosting holiday parties and her Dallas Cowboys.

Funeral services will be held at St. Dominic's Church, 830 A Street, Orland CA on Thursday, April 28, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. with a reception to follow.
