Brian James Smith at the age of 47 years old left this world unexpectedly on Saturday June 3rd, 2023 at approximately 2:00 PM.
Brian was born in Willows, California at Glenn Medical Center on September 18, 1975 to Brenda Lou Pihaylic and Jimmy James Smith. Brian attended school and grew up in Orland, California. Since Brian was 18 years of age he was a well known truck driver and was always viewed by others as a hard working, respectable man. Truck driving was his passion and he surpassed 1 million miles in his trucking career. He enjoyed camping, crabbing in Fort Bragg, spending time with his family, working out and weight lifting with his wife, riding on his motorcycle, amongst many other things. Brian is survived by, his mother Brenda Pihaylic, his brother Wyatt Allen, his grandmother Doris Pihaylic, his wife Marguerite Smith, his five children, Brittany Smith-Woodward, Brandon Smith, Rebecca Smith, Brenden Smith, and Aubrey Smith, as well as three grandchildren Gilbert Wellman, Rylie Woodward, and Lennon Woodward. Also including many other aunts, uncles, cousins, half siblings, and friends. He is preceded in death by his step father John Lee Allen, Uncle Johnny Pihaylic, Uncle Michael Pihaylic, Aunt Katie Poncia, and Grandfather George Pihaylic.

Services will be held at Sweet-Olsen family mortuary located at 825 A street in Orland, California 95963 on Saturday, June 17th at 10:30 AM and will go until 12:30 PM.

A separate gathering for Celebration of Life will be held at Orland Moose Lodge from 12:30 PM to 5:00 PM.
