Carlos Puente-Perez was born October 16, 1925, in Del Rio, Texas to parents Jose Puente and Maria De Los Angeles Perez. He passed away on June 12, 2021, at the age of 95.

He was a rose farmer for 30 years and a lifelong resident of Glenn County.

He is survived by his children: Juan Antonio Puente, Jose O. Puente, Miguel Puente, Raul Puente, Roberto Puente, Maria Castillo, Maria Estella Rodriguez, Maria Elena Aguilar, and Norma Alicia Salcedo. He is also survived by his brother Javier Puente. He lived to see 43 grandchildren and 81 great-grandchildren.
