Charlotte Anne Strickland passed on Sunday November 21, 2021 in Chico, CA surrounded by her loving family. She was born September 16, 1949 in Orland, CA where she raised her 3 daughters; Monique DeFaria, Traci DeFaria and Terri Felix. Charlotte worked for the Orland School District for a short time where she touched many young lives before finding her true calling at the Health and Human Services Department for Glenn County. There she spent over 30 years selflessly dedicating her life to the betterment of others. She was a fierce advocate for her clients.

In her younger years she enjoyed playing softball on a local women's team; the Merchants, and made many friends there.

Charlotte was preceded in death by her husband Bryon Keith Strickland whom she will be laid to rest with at the Sunset Hill Cemetery in Corning in a private ceremony. Charlotte was a loving and devoted wife, mother, sister, friend, aunt, grandmother of 5 and a great grandmother of 3. She leaves a legacy of love.

In honor of her passion for animals and her dedication to helping those struggling with their mental health, the family requests that in lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to Harmony Haven Therapeutic Riding and Horse Rescue @ harmonyhaven.wordpress.com in Cottonwood, CA.

A Rosary will be held Thursday December 2, 2021 6PM at St Dominic's Catholic Church, 822 A Street in Orland . The Funeral Mass will take place Friday December 3, 2021 10am. A reception will be held directly following services.
