STANDRIDGE, DALE RICHARD (1933-2023)

Dale Richard Standridge passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, November 15, 2023 at the age of 90. Dale was born November 14, 1933, in Pima, Arizona to Elmer and Nettie Standridge, the youngest of four children. Dale was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer and Nettie, brothers Malen, Jesse and Nolan, his wife, Nyla, and son Curtis. Dale is survived by two of his children, daughters Tracy and Julie Nesbitt (Tom), and two granddaughters, Stephanie Mitchell (Sam) and Autumn Standridge. Dale served in the U.S. Army from July 1953 to May 1955. Dale lived in Orland for 66 years. Early in their married life, Dale and Nyla had a dairy on county road 17. Dale worked at T.M. Duche Nut Company for 40 years, retiring in 1997. Dale and Nyla enjoyed traveling around the country as well as camping and going to their mountain property in the Shasta-Trinity Mountains. Dale liked listening to country music, watching western movies, and reading old western books.

Services will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, December 8, 2023, at Sweet-Olsen Family Mortuary in Orland. A private ceremony will be held at the Oddfellows Cemetery for family and friends in the near future.
