Obituary

Dianne Fritter, beloved mother, grandmother, partner, sister, aunt, and friend, passed away surrounded by the love of her family on May 26, 2026. Born on March 31, 1949, in Chico to Bill and Jennie Henning, Dianne was raised with strong family values and a deep appreciation for community. She was preceded in death by her parents and is survived by her brother, Bill Henning Jr and his partner Sindi.

Dianne was the proud mother of Stacy (Fritter) Shasky and her husband Adam, and Scott Fritter and his wife Chrissie. She also lovingly embraced David Searing's children as her own: Grant Searing and his wife Jeannie, Curt Searing, and Keri Searing. Nothing brought Dianne greater joy than her family. She was a devoted grandmother to Bailey, Nolan, Colby, Tristan, and Spencer, and lovingly embraced her step-grandchildren Kyleigh, Paige, and Griffen as part of her heart and family. She celebrated every milestone, achievement, and special moment in the lives of those she loved and was their biggest supporter in all they did.

For 35 wonderful years, Dianne shared life, love, and countless adventures with the love of her life, David Searing. Together they built a life filled with laughter, travel, friendship, and treasured memories.

Dianne had a spirit for adventure and a love of experiencing the world. She spent four memorable years living in Italy before returning home to Ord Bend, a place she cherished deeply. For 20 years, she proudly ran the Ord Store, where she became a familiar and beloved part of the community. Through her kindness, warmth, and genuine interest in people, she formed lasting friendships with countless members of the community she loved so much.

An avid quilter and member of Annie's Star Quilt Guild, Dianne found joy and creativity in every stitch. She especially loved traveling with friends to quilt shops and quilt shows, sharing laughter and friendship along the way. She also loved camping with her family, spending time outdoors, and making memories around campfires and under the stars. Her love for dogs was another reflection of her gentle and caring heart.

Above all else, Dianne loved deeply and completely. She was the kind of person who made others feel valued, welcomed, and cared for. Her legacy lives on through the family she adored, the friendships she nurtured, and the many lives she touched with her compassion, humor, and generosity.

She will be profoundly missed and forever remembered.

A celebration of Dianne's life will be held on Saturday June 20th at the Ord Bend Community Hall at 3:00 pm.

Arrangements are held under the direction of Sweet-Olsen Family Mortuary.
