Dorothy Marie Wells, of Orland, Ca. Went to be with God on Thursday, November 9th, 2023. She was born in Merced, California on June 4th, 1942. She grew up the middle child of eight siblings; she was a born caretaker, always helping with her siblings. Her family lived in Atwater, Ca. for many years before moving to Concord, Ca.

She met her husband Gale at a roller rink in Concord, he had hitched hiked there looking for something to do, as he was in the Navy and stationed at Port Chicago Naval Base, Near Concord. They fell in love and married in Walnut Creek on September 19, 1958, and just celebrated 65 years of marriage.

They eventually settled in Orland, Ca. in 1962, where they bought a home, and had a son to add to their family.

Life was always full for Dottie. Chasing dreams with Gale was her favorite thing. With her positive attitude she was always looking down the road at what they would see on their next adventure. They built a beautiful mountain home, which they cherished together, with family and friends for 35 years. Dottie was a teacher's aide for 29 years at Mill Street School. She sold Mary Kay and always had fun doing that. She traveled so many different places in the world, accompanying Gale on business trips to places like Hawaii and Australia. She loved helping Gale with remodeling their home through the years and was always sure to put the most modern touches to their projects.
