Obituary

Doyle Beene DeBeaord, passed away Monday, Sept. 2, 2017, in Orland, CA. He was born in Wynnewood, OK, January 4, 1929. Doyle was the son of William Samuel and Esther Pearl DeBeaord.

He served in the US Army Air Force as a drill instructor from January 1946 to June 1947. He was married to Ruby Frizzell from 1949 to 1982. He married Barbara Pleake in 1984.

Doyle retired after 28 years with Placer County Public Works Department. Doyle was a member of the "OVER THE HILL GANG" (kids who grew up in the government camps) in Yuba City.

As a life long member of the Church of Christ, he served the Lord as a Deacon. He served in the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary from 1984 to 1996, where he was very active in patrol operations as a Coxswain, and was a member of the Lincoln Good Sam's Club.

He was considered to be a "DIY MAN" who built a house that survived the 1955 flood of Marysville/Yuba City, did all of his vehicle maintenance, built a dune buggy from the frame up, and built a water tower from wood that he himself milled from his property.

Doyle is survived by Barbara, his wife of 34 years; son, Rick DeBeaord of Chester, CA; daughter, Brenda DeBeaord Espinoza of Lincoln, CA; and 4 grandchildren, Rick DeBeaord, Jr., of San Francisco, CA, Matt Espinoza and Shannon DeBeaord of Lincoln, CA, and Marc Espinoza of Roseville, CA.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be sent to Providence Christian Schools in Orland. Services at F. D. Sweet and Son Mortuary in Orland, September 11th, 2017 at 10:00 a.m.
