EDNA BLAKLEY
Edna Mae Blakley, age 90 of Orland, CA passed away April 21, 2018. Edna was born July 5, 1927 in Excelsior Springs, MO to Claude and Muriel Peery. She graduated from Orland High School Class of 1944, and went on to marry George Blakley August 9, 1947. Edna is proceeded in death by her husband George who passed away in 2001. During their working days, Edna and George owned Blakley's Moving and Storage. After retiring in 1982, Edna and George traveled in their RV spending many months at Basin, MT where they worked as campground hosts. She belonged to many organizations including First Baptist Church of Orland, and the Orland Grange. Edna is survived by Richard of Culver, OR., Georgia (Steve) Howe of Orland, CA., and Juanita Lauren (Jim) Jenkins, 7 grandchildren, Shelly and Kevin of OR., Scott, Matthew and Zachary (Courtney) of CA., Christy of Texas and Jack of CA., and two sisters Muriel and Mary Peery of Orland, CA. In lieu of flowers please send donations to a Cystic Fibrosis organization of your choice. F.D. Sweet & Son Mortuary of Orland is assisting the family. There are no services planned.
