Freddie William Moniz Jr 65, passed away on January 27, 2022 in Chico, CA. Freddie was born at Camp Pendleton Marine Base in San Diego, CA on November 7, 1956 to Jackie Martin and Freddie Moniz Sr.
Fred met and married the love of his life Cheryl on November 19, 1980, and they have spent the last 41 years together. They made a wonderful life together and raised two children. Fred loved the outdoors, he would spend days on local lakes his favorite being Clearlake. He has several 1st place trophies and plaques that he and his friends won at bass tournaments all over the state. Later in life he rode his Harley Davidson with his friends, fishing and camping along the way. Hunting was another passion he had, often going to other states. He would spend duck season hunting at Willows and Delevan Refuges.
He is survived by his Wife Cheryl Moniz, Son David Moniz, Daughter Laurin, 7 Grandchildren, and 3 Great-Grandchildren.
Arrangements are held under the direction of Sweet-Olsen Family Mortuary. Graveside services will be Friday, February 11, 2022 at 1PM on County Road P. A reception to follow after service in the Arts and Crafts Building at the Orland Fair grounds.
