Gladys Rosa Ulen Jones, daughter of Gilbert and Rosie Sorbel Ulen was born on August 31, 1928 in Brown County, Minnesota. A long-time resident of Northern California. She quietly departed this life on Wednesday, April 7, 2021 at the age of 92.

Gladys was a devoted mother and grandmother, and a loving wife to her husband Myrl who passed in 1993. She will be remembered for her generous spirit and her delight in giving more than in receiving. Her uncanny ability to remember the birthdates of even those of her extended family was a marvel and relatives could always count on a birthday or anniversary card. She loved her home and even until late in her life took great pride in keeping her house in order. Gladys was an avid crocheter and over the years many of her family members received her beautiful handiwork as gifts.

Gladys' life will forever be cherished in the lives of her children, James R. Walden, Bruce C. Walden, Douglas A. Walden and Roslyn A. Spruit along with her 11 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren, her sister Ruth G. Wilkins and the many devoted nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
