James Wesley Davis of Chico, CA passed away on October 27, 2020 at the age of 80. His wife Beverly Gay Davis passed away June 10, 2020 at the age of 79.

James was born February 3, 1940 in Oakland, California and Beverly was born February 7, 1941 in Albany, California. They were married in 1962 in Richmond, California. Jim and Bev loved gardening at home and traveling to Hawaii with family and friends as often as possible. They also enjoyed attending a yearly family camp along the Tuolumne River with extended family. James worked for the Internal Revenue Service and an Investigator until he retired at age 50. Beverly worked as a Certified Public Accountant for many years up until one month before her death.

Both Jim and Bev are survived by their two children, Michael Davis and Susan Shippelhoute, five grandchildren, Nathan, Justin, and Natalie Davis, Kelsey and Ryan Shippelhoute, as well as their extended family of nieces and nephews, grand nieces and nephews, and great grand nieces and nephews. (They were preceded in death by granddaughter, Nicole Shippelhoute.) Jim is survived by his sister Norma Peters and her husband Robert Peters. Beverly is survived by her brother Lawrence Angell.

A graveside service will be held on Friday afternoon, November 6, 2020, 1:00pm at Orland Cemetery, 3900 County Road P, Orland California. A reception will follow, at which all are invited to attend. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Dementia Society of America.
