Jerry Lee Key of Red Bluff, California, passed away on Tuesday, June 26, 2018 at his home. He was born November 17, 1939 in Bosque, Texas. Jerry is the son of Paul Lovic Key and Leeola May Freeman. He attended Rio Vista High School and was a General Contractor for 40 years and Musician for 50 years. He was a member of the Carpenters Union and the Musicians union.
His greatest accomplishments in life were being a loving husband, father and grandpa. He was the most loving, understanding and always there for you father any kid could ever ask for, all the way to the end. He was proud of his musical career and his friendships and stories he had from his time as a musician. He recorded many songs in Nashville and was inducted into the Rock-A-Billy Hall of Fame with his brother, Larry Key. They recorded under the name, The Cobra Brothers and The Key Brothers. After his music career, he started working for his dad in construction and later became a successful General Contractor, building many custom homes and buildings throughout California, Texas and Montana. In his retirement years, he loved spending time with his children and grandchildren always around him.
Jerry is survived by his wife Sharon of 55 years and his six children: Kathy, Eric, Tammy, Stacy, Nick and Mary. He is a proud grandpa of 12 grandchildren.
