Jose Jesus Moreno passed away on April 29, 2021, in Chico, California. He was 92 years old. He was born in Kansas City, Kansas, on May 2, 1928, to parents Epimenio and Josefina (Mesa) Moreno. Jose was a resident of Orland for 49 years.

He married Nicolasa on September 26, 1952, and enjoyed 68 years with her. During those years, they raised a family of 11. He always thought a lot of his family.

He worked in agriculture his whole life. He was a hard worker and good with his hands. He was always fixing things. He was very proud of his Mexican cultural heritage and belonged to the Comite Mexicano.

Jose is survived by his wife, Nicolasa, his children: Mary Zuniga, Jesus Moreno Jr., Narciso  Moreno, Clarita Moreno, Armando Moreno, Arturo Moreno, Carmen Grosberg, Olivia Moreno, Eduardo Moreno, Daniel Moreno and Socorro Fonsen. He is also survived by 22 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.
