JOYCALEE JEAN PONCIA
Joycalee Jean Poncia, 87, of Orland, Ca. passed away peacefully sur-rounded by her family on January 10th, 2018. She was born in Corning, Ca. on May 28, 1930 to Olive (Simpson) Uhl and graduated high school in Maxwell, Ca. She was married to the George August Poncia. She is survived by 6 daughters; Donita Flagor of Orland, Ca., Terry Nava of Willows, Ca., Tedene (Frank) Groppi of Orland, Ca., Debbie Flagor of Orland, Ca., Tammy Flagor of Orland, Ca., Brenda Gavia of Sacramento, Ca., step-daughter, Tammy Jean (Leigh Gregory) Poncia of Florida, many grand-children, great grand-children and great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband George August Poncia, and her stepson George Dennis Poncia. Jean had a great passion for family, animals, and walks on her country property. She loved to visit with her family, and receiving family photos to hang in her home. Viewing will be held at FD Sweet & Son Mortuary at 825 A Street, Orland, Ca. on Thursday, January 18th, 2018 from 4pm 8pm. A memorial service will be held at Graves Cemetery on Newville Road west of Orland on Friday, January 19th, 2018 at 11am, a celebration of life will follow at the Eagles Hall at 6381 County Road 200 in Orland, Ca. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the animal shelter of your choice.
