Katherine "Kathy" Jean Moore, 70 of Elk Grove, California passed away on January 19, 2025, at UC Davis Medical Center Sacramento, California. Katherine was born on February 10, 1954, to Dorothy O'Neal and Ernest Arnold in Salinas, California.

Kathy grew up in Salinas, California where she attended Washington Junior High School and Salinas High School.

Kathy was employed by the California Department of Corrections for 25 years, and retired as a Case Records Administrator, she served in many other rolls over the course of her career, excelling in all.

Kathy is survived by her daughter Tina Penner (Chico, California), granddaughter Amanda Scheatzle (Minot, North Dakota), grandson Jordan Garcia (Chico, California), granddaughter Kaitlyn Ford-Mowles (Chico, California), great granddaughter Zoe Scheatzle (Minot, North Dakota), and great granddaughter Evie Scheatzle (Minot, North Dakota).

Kathy is preceded in death by her parents Dorothy O'Neal and Ernest Arnold.

Graveside service will take place on Wednesday, January 29, 2025, at Graves Cemetery in Orland, California at 11:00 AM.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to the American Cancer Society or the SPCA.
