Laura Belle Cannizzaro, 89, of Orland, California, passed away on March 20, 2025, at WestHaven Senior Living. Laura was born on July 27, 1935, in Niagara Falls, New York to her father John Smith and mother Eleanor Bradbury.

Laura and Dominic Cannizzaro Jr. got married on July 3, 1954. For 59 years they were happily married and had five boys. Laura was so proud of her sons, and she took much pride in raising them.  For 40 years she was dedicated to being a homemaker.

Laura is survived by her son Nick (Nina) of Myrtle Creek (Oregon), son Dave (Bette) of San Leandro (California), son John of Fort Bragg (California), son Paul (Jennifer) of Powell (Wyoming), son Vince (Stephanie) of Orland (California), 8 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, several nieces, and nephews.

Laura is preceded in death by her father John Smith, her mother Eleanor Smith, her 3 brothers Jack, Charlie, Tommy, and her beloved husand Dominic Cannizzarro II.

A Graveside service will take place on Saturday, April 5, 2025, at 1:00 PM at the Orland Cemetery located at 3900 County Road P. A reception is to follow immediately after the graveside service.
