Lois Irene Stoltenberg passed away Thursday, August 20, 2020, at her home in Orland, California. She was 86 years of age.

Lois was born March 4, 1934 in Nebraska, to parents Roland DeLong and Susanna (nee Maxfield) DeLong. She grew up on a self-sustaining farm with two brothers and her twin sister. Lois met her husband Dallas through a friend, and together they welcomed son Steve Stoltenberg into the world.

Lois supported her husband for many years in the Bay Area as he worked as a Price Analyst for Lockheed Martin. Lois enjoyed keeping the home, cooking, socializing, and caring for the family. Near retirement they moved to Glenn County and farmed a walnut orchard in the Capay area for 15 years. Together they enjoyed many trips as members of the Airstream Club and other local outings. They shared a fondness for friends, pinochle, and involvement in their church.

Lois was agreeable, friendly, and gracious, and was ever willing to join friends for a positive activity and give a helping hand as a volunteer. While we trust Lois rests eternally with God, her memory will be treasured by those friends and family she leaves behind.

She was predeceased by her husband of 57 years, Dallas Henry Stoltenberg.

Lois is survived by her son, Steven Stoltenberg; granddaughter, Summer of Modesto; two great-grandchildren; sister, Lucille Williams of Laurel, Nebraska; brother, Ralph DeLong of Belden, Nebraska; and brother, Paul DeLong of Yankton, South Dakota. A service will be held at graveside on Friday, September 11, 2020 at 11:00 am, at Odd Fellows Cemetery in Orland, California.
