Lynette Benson (March 29, 1945 - October 31, 2023)

Lynette Benson was the first child born to Norman "Bob" Lloyd Benson and Hattie "Dolores" Benson on March 29th, 1945 in Corning, California. She grew up in the town she loved, Orland and was a graduate of Orland High School "Class of 63". After graduation she spent most of her adult years working in hospital administration with Chico Community Hospital and later had other positions within Enloe Hospital. In retirement, Lynette volunteered with the Orland Art Center and the Orland Historical Society. Her passions included quilting, reading mysteries, her two cats and a good BLT from Farwood.

Lynette was preceded in death by her parents and brothers Fred, Lee, and Kevin. She is survived by her sister Marsette, two sons Martin (Melissa) Cloyd of Orland, Mark (Tracy) Cloyd of Chadron, Nebraska, 5 grandchildren; John, Cody, Riley, Hannah, Gracie and 2 great grandchildren; Lexi and Rowan.
