Marc Piazza passed away on Feb.17 th , 2021. Born at home on June 3, 1926 he was a lifelong resident of Orland.
Before graduating from High School in 1945 he was a member of the Orland Trojan undefeated football team of 1944. Marc also served in the USAF and was stationed in Anchorage Alaska working as a jet airplane mechanic. Being an active member in the community he served as president of Little League Baseball in the 1960's, was involved in Pop Warner football and was a member of the Orland Historical Society, where he helped build the tracks for the Orland Newville and Pacific railroad at the fairgrounds. An auto mechanic by trade he enjoyed making Crystal radios as a hobby. Making stained and etched glass was also a hobby of his that he shared with the community by participating in the Orland Craft Fair for 15 yrs. He was a loving husband and father, known as Daddy to his children, he always put family first.
Marc is survived by his lifetime sweetheart and wife of 70 yrs. Virginia Piazza, daughter Sandy Millert (Randy), son Michael Piazza (Paula), daughter Toni Piazza-Hepp (Paul), daughter Janet Hensley (Jerry), and sister, Marianne Hodge, eight grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents Antonio and Rose Piazza and Brothers Joe and Anthony Piazza.
A graveside service will be held on Friday Feb. 26 th at 11:00 am at the Oddfellows Cemetery in Orland.
