In the early morning of January 2, 2019, Peggy left us to be with her sweetheart, Bob. She was in the loving care of the staff of California Park, in Chico, CA. The family is forever grateful for those dear folks.

Peggy was born May 6, 1927, in Augusta, Georgia. She and her older sister Dorothy lived their young lives in southern Texas, Portland, Oregon and San Francisco. Their mother Annabelle was their rock.

Before her marriage, Peggy earned her nursing diploma. She proudly kept her status of Registered Nurse all her life.

Peggy married Robert (Bob) Lambert in San Francisco on June 24, 1950. They raised their family in Orland. True lovebirds, they were sneaking off for private get-aways whenever they could for 64 years! Together they lit up a room with their humor and warmth.

Peggy was a happy fulltime wife, mother and homemaker. Her children were secure in knowing she would be there when they came home from school, and to nurse them tenderly through childhood bugs. Bob always knew he'd be greeted with a kiss from Peggy, a wonderful home cooked meal, and maybe even an apple pie, just because of love.

Peggy cherished her beautiful friends in Orland and together they played golf, had card parties and supported each other through all life's events.

Peggy and Bob had wonderful travel adventures to Alaska, Europe, and Panama. Their favorite destination was their little cabin at Mill Creek, sitting on the deck, in the trees. Sundays meant church, lunch with friends, and then the 49ers and a bag of crunchy snacks in the living room.

Now, Peggy and Bob are dancing to their love song "Stardust" at their cabin in the sky.

Grandma Peggy was blessed with six grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren, (with one on the way), and eight nieces and nephews.
