MARJORIE MYRL BALL 1924-2017
Marjorie Myrl Ball passed away August 3rd in her home of Capay, with her children at her bedside. Marjorie was born to Myrl and Eva Hull on April 16, 1924 (the third of nine children) in Cordell, Oklahoma. She graduated from Hamilton City High School in 1942, and married her high school sweetheart in 1943. Charles and Marjorie celebrated their 70th anniversary on October 31, 2014. Marjorie was blessed with three children, Charles "Pepper" Ball (Elaine), Sharon Ferrer (Al), and Nancy Hodge (Bob), six grandsons, Matthew Ball (Christi), Tyler Ferrer (Yovita), Ryan Ferrer (Christine), Simon Ferrer (Ashley), Nicholas DeCarlo (Katrina) and Daniel DeCarlo (April), and eight great-grandchildren. She is also survived by siblings Ruth Kelly, Carolyn Hibdon, Myrl Hull, and Max Hull. She handled her declining health bravely and with dignity, always looking forward to her walk with Jesus. The Capay Friends Church was honored to have Marjorie as an active participant. She enjoyed singing in the choir, decorating the church, and worked tirelessly in church and community events. Many evenings and weekends were spent working along-side Charles on the cattle ranch. Marjorie will be remembered for her strong faith, gentle spirit, and kind nature. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, August 9th at 12:00 P.M. (viewing from 9:00-12:00 prior to the service) at Sweet and Son Mortuary, 825 A Street in Orland, CA. There will be a reception at the Friends Community Church in Capay following the burial at the Oddfellows Cemetery.
