Mary Elizabeth “Beth” Camper passed away on October 24, 2026, in Chico, California. Beth was born on September 25, 1939, in Halstead, Kansas to her parents Mary and Wilton Baumgartner. She is survived by her husband Pete Camper, multiple nieces, and multiple nephews. She is preceded in death by her mother Mary Baumgartner, father Wilton Baumgartner, her brother Ron Baumgartner, and brother Morris Baumgartner.

Beth attended Orland High School and graduated in 1957. She then started college at Heald’s business college in 1958. In January of 1959 Mary happily married Pete Camper and they remained married for 67 wonderful years. Pete and Beths favorite thing to do together was camping and fishing.

During Beths business career of 40 years, she worked as a secretary. She is a lifetime member of the Beta Sigma Phi, and a member of the Orland Quilters Guild. She was a big supporter of the Just for The Children Foundation in Orland, California and would donate her hand made quilts. One of her quilt blocks was accepted by the American Quilters Society and sewn into a quilt which was presented to President Bush.

Graveside services will be held on Thursday, November 5, 2026, at 11:00 AM the service will be at I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Orland, California. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Orland Fire Department.
