Nancy Ann (Sanford) Wagner

August 28, 1931 – January 17, 2022

Nancy Wagner passed away on January 17, 2022 at Eskaton Lodge in Granite Bay, California.  Nancy was the third child of John and Pearl Sanford. Born and raised in Orland, she attended Orland schools and graduated from Orland High School in 1949. Nancy worked for 31 years at T.M. Duché Nut Company. She worked numerous positions including belt work, warehouse, shipping and eventually became floor supervisor until her retirement in 1984. She was honest, fair, thoughtful and always looking out for the best interests of co-workers, family and friends. She loved working in her vegetable garden, doing any kind of crafting, embroidery and crocheting. In the past 3 years she had crocheted 20 afghans many which went to her great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

In 1970 Nancy married Bill Wagner. They spent the following 46 years committed and deeply in love until Bill's death in 2016.  They traveled the United States including Alaska and enjoyed RV camping, boating and fishing in numerous favorite places with both family and closest of friends.

Nancy is survived by her daughter, Rose Bianchi, her son John Gonsalves and two stepsons, Rocky Wagner and Donald Wagner. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be on Friday, January 28 ^th from 9:00 – 11:00 am at Sweet-Olsen Family Mortuary in Orland.  Services will be held on Friday, January 28 ^th , 11:00 am at Sweet-Olsen Family Mortuary and a short gravesite service at the Odd Fellows Cemetery in Orland.

Donations in lieu of flowers can be made to the Orland Volunteer Fire Department.
