Obituary

Patty Rene Taylor passed away on Wednesday, September 19, 2018, at her home in Orland, California.
There will be a viewing on Tuesday, September 25, 2018, from 4 P.M. to 8 P.M. at Sweet-Olsen Family Mortuary, 825 A Street, in Orland, CA . Services will be held Wednesday, September 26, 2018, at 10:00 A.M. at the Sweet-Olsen Family Mortuary. A burial will follow at the Masonic Cemetery, Road 9, in Orland, CA. A reception will be held at 4129 County Road K in Orland, following the services.
Patty was born on April 18, 1934 in Ackerly, Texas, to Audy and Thelma Springfield. Patty grew up in West Texas with her sisters, Nona and Margie.
She married the love of her life, G.B. "Dub" Taylor, on July 2, 1953 in New Mexico. They headed west to Orland, California to start their marriage and family. This is where Patty was blessed with four sons, Melvin, Audy, Faron and Todd.
Patty's favorite job was taking care of her family, as they meant the world to her. Her greatest business accomplishment was her family's trucking company. She helped run Dub Taylor Trucking for 39 years alongside her husband and sons.
Patty was a life-long member of the First Baptist Church in Orland. She had a very strong faith that never wavered. She was very proud of her sons, grandchildren and great-grandchildren; she was always their biggest fan and greatest supporter.
Patty is predeceased by her husband, G.B. "Dub" Taylor, her parents, Audy and Thelma Springfield, her sisters, Nona Hitt and Margie Green, and two sons, Melvin and Audy Taylor.
Patty is survived by two sons Faron Taylor (Nancy) and Todd Taylor of Orland, three granddaughters, Sara van Tol (Jake), Michelle Dobbs (Chris), and Katlyn Zuppan (Jake), all of Orland, and one grandson, TJ Taylor of Orland. She is also survived by eight great-grandchildren: Mellanie, Trent, Maysen and Haylee van Tol, Rylee and Walker Dobbs, and Reese and Brookelyn Zuppan, all of Orland. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
