Sam John Peracca, age 91 of Orland, California, passed away peacefully on December 4th, 2025, in Chico, California. Sam was born to Antone and Delphina Peracca on May 7th, 1934, in Santa Rosa, California.

Sam co-founded RUSH Personnel in 1981 with his late wife, Bonnie. Together they built a long-lasting business that is still utilized in our local communities to this day. Sam was also a logging trucker for several years before becoming a crane operator for PG&E, from which he ultimately retired.

He enjoyed flying his Piper PA-12 airplane and loved to go to fly-ins at Oshkosh. He obtained his pilot's license at age 15 and continued to fly until he went home with The Lord.

He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, and provider. Sam was always there for his loved ones.

Sam is survived by his daughters Lorna Peracca, Cathy Peracca, and Heidi Erickson, son Kenny Peracca, and stepchildren Lori Coate and Rodney Coate.

He is preceded in death by his parents Antone and Delphina Peracca, wife Bonnie Peracca, and multiple brothers and sisters.

A celebration of life will be held at 11am on Saturday, January 17th, 2026, at the New Life Church located at 809 4th Street, Orland, California.

Arrangements are held under the direction of Sweet-Olsen Family Mortuary.
