SHARON ANN CAMPER (Rychtera) (April 25, 1948 - October 25, 2026)
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Sharon Ann Camper (78 years old). She is survived by her daughters, Sara Manjarrez and Tamara Doesborgh, her brother Jerry Rychtera and his wife Sue Rychtera, Her grandchildren Amanda Davidson, Joseph Harper, Catalina and Alana Manjarrez as well as her nieces Tracy and Kimberly. Sharon also had countless friends and family that loved her dearly with whom she shared so many adventures!
Sharon was born April 25, 1948 to parents Joseph Jerry Rychtera and Margaret Alice Sealy. She has been a resident of Orland, California for over 60 years. Sharon attended Highland School of Nursing in San Francisco, she served as an ER nurse before coming back to Orland to become a public health nurse with the County of Glenn. She held this position for many years. Sharon was also active in the Orland Volunteer Fire Department and the United Federated Church of Orland. Sharon had a 37 year marriage with her soulmate Thomas Carlyle Camper who preceded her in death at the age of 69.
Sharon loved adventure and led a very active lifestyle. She enjoyed fishing, hunting, traveling, reading, and camping. Recently she was able to take several cruises with her family, including a magical trip to Alaska which was one of her “bucket list” items. We are all so blessed to have had Sharon in our lives and she will not be forgotten.
Her service will be held at Sweet Olsen Mortuary in Orland on October 30th at 10 am followed by an open house style reception with light snacks starting at 11am and ending at 6pm. This will be held at Amaris Banquet Hall (next to Farwood in Orland).
Please join us in celebrating Sharon!
In lieu of flowers please consider making a donation in her name to a local animal shelter.
