Obituary

Stanley (Stan) Cooper passed away at home in Orland on Monday, August 12, 2024, two weeks shy of 73 years old. He was born in Clovis, California on August 26, 1951 to Claud and Leona Cooper, the ninth of twelve children.

He served in the U.S. Air Force from December 1970 to January 1978 as SSGT. He was a master printer in Delaware for Standard Register. He was a member of Moose Lodge 1901. He had strong beliefs working alongside his brothers and family, helping and stepping in whenever needed. He could do painting, cement, roofing, electrical, and construction. He loved to travel, history, cars, and to cook. He had a very big heart for young and old. His greatest joy was playing music with family and so many friends.

Survivors include his wife of over 25 years, Doris Longtin Cooper of Orland, Ca.; his children, Jeanna (Jason) Kramer of Delaware; Ed (Lety) Barens of Chico, CA.; Shelli (Jeffrey) Field of Utah; Stephen Montgomery of Tenn.; Brenda Beech of Colo.; and Charles Roundy of CA.; brothers Jack (Martha) of Fresno, CA.; Randy (Esther) of Stagecoach, Nev.;, Rick of Winters, CA.; sisters Jane (Don) Hemman of Wentworth, Mo.; Maryanne of Stockton, CA.; numerous grandchildren; tons of nieces and nephews, great and great-great; and many friends he thought of as brothers. He loved you all.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Bonnie Mae, Norma Stansberry; four brothers, Claude, Robert, Charles, and George.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Glenn County Fairground Cafeteria on September 28, 2024, at 2:00 p.m.

Arrangements are held under the direction of Sweet-Olsen Family Mortuary.
