Terry Sarmento, age 59 of Orland passed away Tuesday December 10th, 2019. He was born March 1st, 1960 in Sacramento, Ca. He was a graduate of Orland High School. Terry had worked for North Valley Rain Gutter in Chico for 37 years. In his free time, Terry enjoyed hunting, fishing and in past years taking his '75 Bronco up to the mountains. He also enjoyed spending time with his love, Vicki, and their dogs, just taking it easy.

Terry is preceded in death by his father, Manuel Sarmento Jr. He is survived by his two children, son, Chris Sarmento and his wife Cassandra of Orland and daughter, Emmy Sarmento of Yreka. Mother, Joyce Sarmento, sister, Kathleen Paslay and her husband Greg, and brother Mark Sarmento and his wife Paula all of Orland. He also leaves his long-time partner Vicki Long of Orland and her sons Keith and Nathan Long of Willows. Terry also leaves behind three grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services are to be handled by Sweet-Olsen Family Mortuary in Orland. Services will be held Friday January 3rd, 2020. A 10:30 A.M. Rosary will be held at St. Dominic's Church in Orland, services to follow at 11:00 A.M. Terry will be laid to rest in the Orland Catholic Cemetery next to his father.
