Thomas Carlyle Camper age 69 of Orland passed away at home on February 10, 2019 of lung failure following a long battle with COPD. He was born February 3, 1950. He was a life long resident of Orland,he graduated Orland high school in 1969 and went on to  serve the community as agricultural truck drive and also served as a volunteer firefighter for over 30 years.  He enjoyed flying,fishing, hunting,crabbing, diving for abalone, and many other outdoor activities. He continued to do many of these activities even as his long term illness decreased his mobility even shooting his last deer in the November prior to his passing. He enjoyed spending time at his property in Chester and also continuing to serve the fire dept as an "old timer" helping anywhere he could. He is preceded in death by his father Myron C Camper (Big Mike) and his mother Anna Bell Camper. He is survived by his wife of 37 years Sharon Camper (Rychtera), his daughters Robin Harper, Tamara Doseborgh, Sara Manjarrez, his four grand children Amanda, Joseph, Catalina,Alana and his two brothers Mike (Little Mike) and John Camper. He also has numerous other relatives throughout the United States.

Services will be held at Graves Cemetery at 1:00 and followed by a celebration of life at the Orland Fire Department.
