Tracy Darlene Standridge passed away on Monday, January 1, 2024 at the age of 66. Tracy was born September 11, 1957, in Chico, California to Dale and Nyla Standridge. Tracy was preceded in death by her parents, Dale and Nyla, and brother Curtis. Tracy is survived by her sister Julie Nesbitt (Tom), niece, Stephanie Mitchell (Sam) and niece, Autumn Standridge. Tracy attended school in Orland, graduating from Orland High School in 1975. She relocated to Sacramento, California to attend secretarial school and stayed in Sacramento for 43 years. Upon completion of the program, she was hired by Southern Pacific Railroad, which eventually changed names to Union Pacific Railroad. Tracy worked for the Railroad from 1976 to 2017 when she retired. After retiring, Tracy relocated back to Orland to help her father Dale raise her niece Autumn, who they adopted together in September 2014.
While working at the Railroad, Tracy attended college and obtained two degrees: a Bachelors of Arts in Communications as well as a teaching degree.
Tracy loved to be on the go. Her favorite travel location was Hawaii. She enjoyed going to Branson, Missouri with her parents too. Tracy also liked to visit Tahoe and the Oregon coast using her timeshare.
Tracy's favorite thing to do was to attend Broadway Musicals; she had seasons tickets for several years. She also enjoyed reading as well as talking to anyone and everyone. Tracy loved her family and friends. She was happiest when she could help or assist someone.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, February 2, 2024 at Sweet-Olsen Family Mortuary in Orland. Feel free to wear a Hawaiian or floral print. And come ready to share a story or two about how you knew Tracy or what she has meant to your life.
A private ceremony will be held at the Oddfellows Cemetery for family in the near future.
