Urbano Olmos, 84, of Orland, California passed away on August 25, 2025, in Paradise, California. Urbano was born on May 25, 1941, to his mother Bricia Chavez and Father Nestor Olmos in Aguascalientes, Mexico.
Urbano came to Orland in his mid-twenties where he met and married Juana Villicana and they had two children. He worked at the Gilmore dairy for several years and then went to work for the Gollnick Dairy before joining the construction Union. He was part of the Knights of Columbus and the Glenn County Sheriff Posse search and rescue.
Urbano was a generous person who loved fiercely. He was the first to offer help and volunteer for everything that came along. He was a protector. Urbano spent his life looking out for everyone he came across and could predict a situation before it occurred. He was known for offering advice (although sometimes unsolicited). He loved his culture and helped organize Mexican dances, events, and parade entries. He was incredibly proud of his grandchildren and never missed any of their sporting events.
He is survived by his wife Juana Olmos, daughter Yolanda Martinez (Nic Martinez), son Steve Olmos (Charissa Olmos), grandchildren Niko, Diego, Mateo, Emilio, Benicio, Viviana, Carina, Jesse, great grandchildren Ellie, Aven, 5 brothers, and 2 sisters.
