Vernon Edward Pierce, age 74 of Littlefield, Texas, passed away peacefully on March 26, 2019 in Orland, CA. Vernon was born December 19, 1944 in Littlefield, Texas to parents Jake and Lucille Pierce. He was a hard working man all of his life. He proudly served in the U.S. Army, and afterwards he went on to work as a heavy equipment operator, and truck driver, for 45 years. Vernon was able to spend 36 wonderful years of marriage with his wife Deborah Pierce before her passing in 2009. He is predeceased by his wife; Deborah Pierce, and daughter; Amy Pierce (1978). Vernon is survived by his daughter; Susan Bailey, grandchildren; Kattie Bailey, Jacob Bailey, Timothy, Katrina, Ben and Virginia Kirkpatrick, all of Orland, CA. Son-in-law; John Kirkpatrick, Sister-in-laws; Bessie Pierce of Sanger, TX and Karen Deusterhaus of Littlefield, TX, and so many nieces and nephews. At the present time there are no planned services. Memorial contributions can be made to the Orland Senior Nutrition Center.
