Billy Gilmore was born on May 21, 1946 in Corning, CA to William and Louise Gilmore. He passed on October 22, 2022 at the age of 76. Billy is survived by his wife Tami, his son Brad (Jessica), his daughter Kelsey and grandchildren Hunter, Benson, Hadley and Kaeden. He is also survived by his brother Gary Gilmore and sisters Sharon Smith and Linda Mancino. He is survived by numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

Billy graduated from Orland High School in 1965 and was known as an incredibly hard worker. He had a trucking business, but was through and through a Dairyman all of his life. He loved his cows and called them "his girls". Several of them even had names. He sold his dairy cows in 2007 and "retired". He didn't like being called "retired", so in 2011 he planted Walnut Trees on his ranch. He could always be found in the orchard taking care of them just like he did with the cows.

When Billy wasn't working, he was up for anything! He loved visiting and seeing his friends and family at parties and events. He was charming, had a quick wit, a twinkle in his eye and always kept everyone on their toes! He liked derbies, race cars and anything fast! He had a large presence and you could always count on him for a beer at the shop. He loved going hunting, fishing and camping with friends and family.

Billy was bighearted and generous with his time. He was always willing to lend a hand for anything. There was nothing too heavy, too hard or impossible for him. He was always ready and willing and when he said "let's go", he meant now. He genuinely liked everyone (except the My Pillow guy), worked hard and had fun every day.

A Celebration of Billy's life will be held at 12:00 p.m., on Saturday, November 12, 2022 at the Orland Memorial Hall. All are welcome to attend.
